Hosted by Cyworld, the 34th and 35th Digital Music Awards took place on the 10th at 7pm in Seoul at GeonGook University.

The Digital Music Awards:
For one month, out of the twenty four million cyworld citizens minihompi's background music, the awards are based on which artist has the highest sales and as well as which rookie artist has the most prominent growth. Also in the same period, foreign artists that rank highly on the BGM chart and the artists that are chosen by critics are awarded and it is the first digital music award ceremony of its type.

For the 34th and 35th Digital Music Awards, Big Bang & 2NE1's Collaboration Lollipop took the 34th "Song of the Month" award. Fierce rookies 2NE1 (Park Bom, Sandara Park, Gong Minji and CL)'s debut song "Fire" claims the 35th "Song of the Month" award and also the "Rookie of the Month" award. During the month of May on Cyworld, 2NE1 was the artist receiving the most amount of love and at the same time having 2 successive records, received much attention and recognition as one of the best new artists.
