2NE1, A new power in the world of singers …

New group 2NE1, who debuted in April, has an unstoppable popularity and is continuing to rise.

2NE1’s first mini-album that was released on the 8th has risen to the #1 spot on the Hanteo Chart on the day of its release. Gathering this momentum, from July 7th until July 12th on the weekly chart there was a total result of 12,271 sales. Because of this, they have become #1 on the charts.

Before, the past monthly sale chart’s Top 3 spots belonged to Drunken Tiger, Seo Taiji, and SNSD. The fact that 2NE1 was able to rise up in this arrangement makes me believe that they’ll be able to shake the Top 3 in the next monthly sale chart.

In April they started with the song ‘Lollipop’ that they did together with Big Bang, from May to June ‘Fire’ and in July ‘I Don’t Care’ and each time they introduced a song they’ve shown us a different side of 2NE1. It makes me wonder and anticipate what sort of image they’ll show us next.

An agent of theirs said, “During that time the 3 songs have all obtained an explosive burst of popularity and responses. People are having higher anticipations of 2NE1’s music and in these situations the influence it does for their sales is crazy. When the music video becomes open to the public and broadcasting activities start, I am looking forward to more and more responses.” They could not hide their happiness.
